The Xenocypris microlepis is commonly known as the blue plate, the sand green and the yellow plate. It belongs to the genus Polygonidae, Acipenseridae, and Orthoptera. It is a medium-lower type of economic fish widely distributed in rivers, reservoirs, and lakes. 400-500 g of common individuals, the largest individual up to 1 500 g, with less bone spurs, meat hypertrophy delicious, welcomed by consumers. It is distributed from the Heilongjiang River basin to the Pearl River Basin and is an important breed for Jiangxi, Hunan, and Hubei. It occupies a considerable proportion in the output.
