Phillip Nadeau, a research professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, said: "This self-driven capsule can monitor various physiological indicators in your body for several weeks after taking it. It will be fixed in the stomach for various indicators. Transfer it to your phone."
At the world's largest biological summit in Boston, USA, Nadeau demonstrated this groundbreaking invention. It is inspired by a lemon battery that is charged with galvanized nails and copper wire. After many attempts and improvements, Nadeau succeeded in testing pigs, using the interaction of zinc electrodes and gastric acid to generate electricity. The built-in small sensor continuously detects temperature and heart rate. The test capsules were approximately 30 mm in length and were discharged through the pig's digestive tract over a period of 6 days.
On this basis, research experts want to create a smaller version for humans, and the prototype size currently being developed is 10mm. In order to allow the capsule to stay in the human body for a longer period of time without adversely affecting normal bodily functions, the prototype currently being developed uses a star-shaped design.
