Feeding management of young guinea fowl

The period after the de-warmed chicks are called young chicks before sexual maturity. During this period, the feathers began to plump, and began to grow feathers filled with pearl-like white dots. The adaptability gradually increased, and the appetite was vigorous and rapid. In the rearing and management, more adoption methods are adopted. Cage culture can also be conducted, and the rearing density should not be large. Guinea fowl has a strong home. In mountainous areas, rural areas and other places where conditions permit, guinea fowls can use their stocking methods to allow them to feed themselves in the wild during the day and return to their nests at night to feed 3-4 times a day. The guinea fowl blew less before 2 months of age, and the number of quails increased after 2 months of age, even day and night.

1. Shed

The henhouses for raising young chickens are similar to the broiler houses, where they are fed with water and placed in habitats. The guinea fowls are inhabited and they have to be trained to rest on their habitats in order to make chicken feet less exposed to chicken dung, which can reduce the occurrence of chicken foot problems. Shepherds and playgrounds are provided for chicken activities. The rearing chickens should adopt the flat-raising mode. The flat-raised chickens can have sufficient local activities and can often receive light. In this way, the young chickens are strong in health and have few diseases and can produce excellent production groups.

2. Feed

In order to obtain a good growth rate, the metabolic energy of early feed is higher than 12130 kJ/kg. As the age increases, metabolic energy is gradually reduced. Protein levels in feed also decrease with age. Feed can be used for full-price feeds of commercially available chickens with similar nutrient content, and young chicken feeds for 30-60 days of age. According to data from Guangdong, young chickens up to 2 months old use self-formulated feeds, which can reduce energy and fat levels, thereby avoiding the loss of wild bird fat by depositing more fat before sale, and also preventing the retention of reserved chickens. Fertilizer affects egg production performance. Self-made feeds have to be made into crumbly feeds with slightly larger particles, and guinea fowls do not like to eat feeds that are too crushed. Guinea fowl also like to eat young grass, vegetables, and crickets and other insects. Eating green vegetables can make feathers brighter and also help reduce feed costs. However, it should be noted that vegetables with pesticides cannot be used to feed chickens to avoid poisoning.
