In particular, vaginal diseases caused by drug-resistant microorganisms cause serious problems for patients, and new anti-infective drugs are urgently needed. Antimicrobial peptides have attracted the attention of new drug developers around the world due to their high efficiency, rapidity and difficulty in causing microbial resistance.
The team led by researcher Lai Wei of the Kunming Institute of Zoology, Chinese Academy of Sciences has long been committed to the discovery and utilization of antimicrobial peptide resources. The antibacterial peptides derived from amphibians and reptiles account for about 30% of the antimicrobial peptides in the world. The team discovered antibacterial peptides derived from the snake venom in 2008 (BF-30, PLoS One. 2008; 3:e3217). BF-30 is an anti-infective candidate with high-efficiency, broad-spectrum antibacterial activity and minimal effect on normal human flora such as lactobacilli. Subsequently, Kunming Animals joined hands with Suzhou Guanghua Group to establish Suzhou Kanger Biomedical Co., Ltd. to develop the antibacterial peptide BF-30. For more than 10 years, the team and its collaborators have comprehensively carried out the BF-30. The preclinical research of drugs published nearly 20 research papers (such as J Med Chem. 2016; 59:1791-9.), and completed all preclinical research work and applied for clinical registration approval according to the requirements of the national new drug application. Recently, the State Food and Drug Administration officially approved the BF-30 antibacterial peptide (the golden ring snake antibacterial peptide vaginal effervescent tablets, acceptance number CXHL1700235, chemical drugs 1.1) for the clinical trial of I-III for the treatment of bacterial vaginosis .
The new drug was supported and assisted by the Institute of Pharmacology and Toxicology of the Academy of Military Medical Sciences and the China Pharmaceutical University in the process of research and development. The Institute of Pharmaceutical Innovation of the Chinese Academy of Sciences played an important role in promoting the smooth implementation of the project.

How To Test?
1. Remove one strip from the bottle and replace the cap immediately.
2. Immerse the reagent area of the strip in the urine specimen and take it out quickly.
3. Wipe off excess urine against the rim of the specimen container.
4. Read the test results carefully within 60 seconds in a good light and with the test area held near the appropriate color chart on the bottle label. Changes in color that appear only along the edges of the test pads or after moving than 2 minutes have passed are of no diagnostic significance. Results with leukocytes test portion can be read within 120 seconds.If reading instrumentally, carefully follow the directions given in the appropriate instrument operating manual
