Citrus mantis is an important pest of citrus production, including two major species of Citrus grandis and Citrus aurantium, also known as Citrus red (yellow) spider. Citrus sinensis's nymphs, gnats, and cubs all damage the leaves, green shoots, and fruits of citrus, but the leaves are the most affected. The damaged leaves presented many small white spots and lost their luster. When they were severe, the entire leaves were grey and caused a lot of defoliation. Citrus yellow spiders damaged citrus leaves, buds, fruits and young shoots. The three species of larvae, Ruojiao and Chengyu are clustered on the main veins, branch veins and leaf margins of the leaves. The victim's leaves are yellow patches, and the victim is often deformed by depression, and the leaves are curled. The depressions are often covered with screens, and the plague often causes activities (damages) and spawning under the net. In severe cases, a large number of fallen leaves are also caused. Red spiders tend to be green and bright, so they occur in the middle and upper parts of the perimeter of the canopy, and the sun slopes in mountainous or hilly orchards are more seriously affected. Citrus yellow spiders are hi and humid, so shades in the orchard, inside the crown, in the lower middle, and in the darker parts of the leaves are prone to occur.
Both spiders overwintered in the stiff leaves and the dorsal leaves of the eggs and female adults after they were killed by leaf miners. The occurrence period is from March to October every year. Yellow spiders are about half a month earlier. Breed 15 to 16 generations a year, there are overlapping generations. Because the spring temperature, humidity and sunlight are suitable for the breeding of crickets, the spring shoots are plucked out, the shoots are tender, the leaves are numerous, and the number of spiders on the leaves increases rapidly, often from April to May. This is the best time for the agent to control both spiders. The following agents can be selected: 5% Nissopol (e.g. thiazolyl) Emulsion 1500 to 2000 times, 73% Creutine (e-acetylene) Emulsion 2000 to 3000 times, 20% Broom-Ozone (Anthraquinone) Wet powder 1500 to 2000 times, 1.8% Insect (Avermectin) EC 4000 to 5000 times, 5% Avi, PAUL 1500 to 2000 times, 24% Endangered (spirotonate) Suspension agent 4000 to 5000 times liquid. Starscream is prone to drug resistance, so be sure to use several of the above agents.
Spraying should be based on the different habits of red spider hi light and tender green, yellow spider hi wet and damp, pay attention to the focus of uniform spraying on the application site. Biological control can use cockles.
