Fast-frozen brands such as Wanchai Pier are trapped in the "bacterial door"

The Wharf's Wharf has been detected with the staphylococcus aureus exceeding the standard. The Ministry of Health claimed that the old national standard is not scientific and still supports the domestic quick-frozen food industry.

Following Cheng Si and San Quan, Wan Chai Ferry was also tested for Staphylococcus aureus in a test report published by the Nanjing Administration of Industry and Commerce. At this point, the three famous brands in the domestic frozen food market were all caught in the "bacterial door." It seems that the current test may be too "rigorous." In the "new national standard," which the Ministry of Health is soliciting for opinions, Staphylococcus aureus has changed from undetectable to limitedly detectable.

All three famous brands fall into the "bacterial door"

The reporter found the inspection report on the Nanjing Consumer Rights Protection Network co-sponsored by the Nanjing Industry and Commerce Bureau and the Nanjing Association of Consumers’ Associations. On November 17, the Nanjing Administration for Industry and Commerce announced the results of its recent sampling monitoring of fast frozen foods sold on the market, showing that the qualification rate was 74.3%. Among them, substandard products were first involved in the Wanchai Ferry Terminal.

According to the report, Staphylococcus aureus was detected in Shang Tang Xiao Yun Tun (Leek Pork), a trademark of Shanghai Pinsile Frozen Food Co., Ltd., which was produced at the "Wan Chai Ferry Pier". The inspection concluded that it was "failed." The “Sanquan” pork cabbage Northeast dumplings, pork celery Guantang dumplings and Zhengzhou Sanquan Food Co., Ltd.’s Shanghai-style dumplings produced by Henan Quanhui Food Co., Ltd. were also found to have been rejected by the same project. Package (pork stuffing), pork leek dumplings, gold corn vegetable pork dumplings.

At this point, following the unsatisfactory detection of Jiemin and Sanquan quick-frozen foods, the top brands in the domestic frozen rice flour food industry were all found to be “quality and safety issues”, and all were Staphylococcus aureus (hereinafter referred to as “gold”). S. cerevisiae") exceeded.

The Ministry of Health claimed that the old national standard is not scientific enough to freeze frozen food industry

While the market is generally worried about whether the frozen foods are like a melamine-like industry-wide crisis, the Ministry of Health has opened its doors extremely rare. There is a “significant gap” between existing health standards and international standards, and it is revealed that the new standards that are being solicited will be more scientific.

Last weekend, the Ministry of Health issued an official statement on the official website of the "Microbial Indicators for Frozen Rice Noodles", saying that it was highly concerned about the problems reported by the media. This is also the first time that the Ministry of Health has responded to the dispute between the old and new food industry standards that has repeatedly caused controversy in recent years. The industry believes that compared with international standards, the current standards are too strict, and almost no companies can achieve compliance. The new standards to be formulated by the Ministry of Health will support the domestic frozen food industry. This is the first time.

The Ministry of Health first explained that S. aureus is widely distributed in the atmosphere and soil and is sensitive to heat. It can be killed by heating at 80°C for 30 minutes. Rapid frozen rice foods are not conducive to the growth, reproduction, and production of enterotoxins of S. aureus at the prescribed storage temperature, but if not preserved properly, it may also lead to the growth and reproduction of S. aureus.

After the previous missed brand was found to have been disqualified for "Staphylococcus aureus," media reports said that the idea of "Staphylococcus aureus" is now allowed to exist in the new national standard that is currently being publicized. This statement also caused the society to question the "new national standard" lowering standards.

The reporter found that the current national standard does not allow "Staphylococcus aureus" to be detected in frozen foods, but in the prospective "new national standard" that is soliciting opinions, as long as it meets the limit value, it is qualified.

The Ministry of Health explained that the current standard stipulates that pathogenic bacteria such as Staphylococcus aureus should not be detected. It is a qualitative detection method for microorganisms, and a sample test is used to determine the product's microbial contamination.

"This type of sampling plan and limit regulations cannot truly reflect the state of microbial contamination of products, and there is a clear gap between international methods for the control and management of microorganisms in food," the experts explained.

Therefore, in the quasi-new standard for soliciting opinions, the “three-stage sampling” scheme of the International Food Microbiological Standards Committee was adopted, and comprehensive determinations were made using quantitative results of multiple samples.

The Ministry of Health said that the quasi-new national standard limit indicators are basically the same as the ICMSF, which is more in line with the international requirements for food microbiological sampling testing and is scientific and reasonable. "It is misreading that the new standard is lower than the old standard."

Trade and Industry Bureau said that it will not strictly adhere to the national standard

However, the business sector does not buy it. On November 6, the Guangzhou Municipal Administration for Industry and Commerce said in an interview with reporters: "The new national standard has not yet been introduced. Whether or not to allow the inclusion of Staphylococcus aureus is still under discussion, and the industry and commerce departments will continue to implement the 'zero tolerance' policy for pathogenic bacteria."

On November 17, the Nanjing Industry and Commerce Bureau stated that it would promptly order supermarket shopping malls to be delisted from supermarkets according to the provisions of the Food Safety Law, and at the same time set up a case for investigation.
