Common gene mutations in esophageal cancer will increase with age

The study found that with the increase of age, the gene mutation cells often found in esophageal cancer will gradually increase in the esophageal epithelium. For the elderly over 70 years old, 40%-80% of the total esophageal area has become Cancer gene mutant cells. This “reconstruction†of abnormal cells of the esophageal epithelium has begun in infancy, and all of these healthy people have found this phenomenon without exception, especially in people with a history of long-term drinking and smoking, and most often in cancer. The proportion of abnormal TP53 genes and chromosomal abnormal cells also increased significantly.
