Of course, the shelf life of tea is related to the variety of tea. Like Puerh tea and black tea, aging is better, and the shelf life can be as long as 10 to 20 years. In fact, the old tea was not properly preserved, changed in quality, and was also a bad product and could not be drunk. For example, Pu'er tea generally requires a dedicated storage room. The temperature is maintained at about 25°C and the humidity is controlled at about 75%. In addition, the room should be ventilated, not placed with odor items, and tea leaves must be turned every 3 months. These conditions are generally difficult for tea lovers and collectors.

Usually, the sealed packaged tea has a shelf life ranging from 12 to 24 months. The shelf life of bulk tea is even shorter, because the process of placing it in bulk will absorb moisture and absorb odors, which will not only deprive the tea of ​​its original tea flavor, but also make it more susceptible to deterioration. Like green tea, it is generally better to be fresh. The shelf life is generally about one year at room temperature. The main factors affecting tea quality are temperature, light, and humidity. If the storage method is appropriate, reducing or eliminating these factors, the tea can guarantee quality for a long time.

To determine whether the tea expired, there are mainly the following aspects: First, to see if there is mildew or taste; Second, to see the tea color, such as whether the green tea becomes red, whether the soup color is brown, dark; Third, taste, mainly to see tea soup Concentration, astringency, and freshness.
